Image0088Q: How long would a “normal” appointment be?
A: Typically 40-60 minutes unless more extensive cleaning or treatment is needed.

Q: How often do most patients come see the dentist?
A: This really varies from patient to patient. In most cases, we see patients every six months. However, some patients are seen every 3 or 4 months to maintain healthy gums and teeth.

Q: Do you have whitening options?
A: Yes! We have professional options available to meet your needs.

Q: How old should my baby be before I bring him/her to see you?
A: The Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s recommendation is age 1.

Q: What if I’m very, very anxious about my dental visit?
A: Dr. Wagener and our staff are very accustomed to this and do everything possible to make you comfortable. Many patients comment how pleasant their appointment was.

Q: If I just don’t like the looks of my teeth, how might you be able to help me?
A: Lots of ways! We may suggest simply one of our whitening options, or possibly composite veneers created here in our office, lab-created porcelain veneers, or crowns. We LOVE making you LOVE your smile!

Q: If I’m missing some teeth, can you help me with that?
A: Absolutely. Your options are many. An implant is often a wonderful way to replace teeth, but there are other options as well, such as bridges, partials, or dentures.

Q: I’m confused about dental insurance. It seems like my plan does not pay as well as it used to.
A: You’re probably correct. Unfortunately, dental insurance has not evolved over the years the way medical insurance has. Although dental insurance plans vary greatly, most pay at least a portion of preventative and diagnostic care (exams and cleanings) but then typically pay a much smaller portion of any restorative work such as fillings, etc. Our insurance manager can help you approximate what your plan may or may not pay.
